Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who We Are

PitchPal is a peer-to-peer youth soccer mentorship platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from users, including minors under the age of 18.

2. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Date of birth (collected and attested by a parent or guardian for users under 18, and used to confirm age-based eligibility)
  • School name, grade level, and position
  • For minors: parent or guardian name and email address
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Session scheduling data (dates, times, locations)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

For mentor verification, mentors voluntarily submit their club name, team name, and a screenshot of their official league player profile (e.g., from mlsnext.com, ecnlboys.com, ecnlgirls.com). This screenshot is stored securely and used only to confirm league enrollment.

If you submit or are the subject of an in-app report, we collect and store the report details, including the reporter's and reported user's identifying information, the reason for the report, and any description you provide. We also store the list of profiles you have blocked within the app.

We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the platform.

3. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent

PitchPal is designed for youth soccer players of all ages. Mentees (younger players) may be any age, and mentors are high school students. Because many of our users are under 13, every account requires the involvement of a parent or guardian.

When a profile is created, a parent or guardian provides their name, confirms the player's date of birth, and checks an attestation box consenting to the child's use of PitchPal. This is parental attestation collected during signup — it is not COPPA's "verifiable parental consent" standard.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental involvement. If you believe a child has provided information without a parent or guardian's involvement, please contact us at kavan@pitchpal.team and we will remove the account.

Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us at kavan@pitchpal.team.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To facilitate connections between mentors and mentees
  • To schedule and manage training sessions
  • To verify mentor age and league enrollment
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To send session reminders and platform updates
  • To review reports, enforce our Terms of Service and Safety policies, and protect users from harmful conduct

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Information Sharing

We share limited information with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Other users — your profile name, school, position, and bio are visible to other registered users on the platform

We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Verification screenshots are retained for the purpose of re-verifying mentors and resolving disputes. Report records may be retained after an account is closed where necessary to enforce our Safety policies or comply with legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from your Profile page or by emailing kavan@pitchpal.team. Deleted accounts are fully removed within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions above.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure payment processing via Stripe. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at kavan@pitchpal.team.
